Having Fun with Habitats
1st – 3rd Grade
Thursdays 10:15 – 11:15
6 Weeks: January 17, 24, 31 February 7, 14, 21
Location: Jewish Community Center of MV
Get ready for some fun with habitats! Students learn about the different types of habitats on Earth while learning about their importance. During the course, students construct a variety of habitats and gain a deeper understanding of the many challenges that animals face living in the different habitats. Major habitats explored include: Arctic and alpine tundra, Boreal Forests, Temperate Forests, Tropical Forests, Ocean, Estuary, Wetland, Grassland, Savannah, and Desert habitats.
Outside Classwork: Homework will be assigned and will take under 30 minutes a week to complete.
