Junior Engineers' Workshop: Robotics (Thurs. 9:00-11:00 1/16-2/20)
Junior Engineers' Workshop: Robotics
6 Weeks: January 16, 23, 30 February 6, 13, 20
Location: Jewish Community Center (JCC)
Starting with a controller, robotic brain, and boxes full of structure pieces, your young engineers will build a robot to meet the day’s challenge, starting with an Obstacle Course and Tractor Pull. Using a pattern, they will build Stretch, a robot with 4-bar linkage. Their robot will need to pull a load and traverse a course. The second half of the event, they will rethink their design, modify, and get creative. Each week or two ends with a fun competition. Who can beat the challenge, and who can do it the most creatively? Other challenges may include High Rise Tower Building and Freeze Tag Soccer. This session introduces sensors and robotic programming.
