Physics Labs: Forces and Motion
8 Weeks: September 10, 17, 24 October 29 November 5, 12, 19 December 10
(No Classes October 1, 8, 15, 22 November 26 December 3)
Location: Jewish Community Center of Mission Viejo (JJC)
Engaging with hands-on demonstrations and experiments is the focus of learning about the exciting world of physics. Students will use the scientific method while investigating matter, density, Newton’s Laws of Motion, friction and gravity. In class, students will work on a notebook or lap book to illustrate concepts, vocabulary and findings, with completion to be done for homework. This class culminates with an Egg Drop Challenge!

- R.E.A.L Science Odyssey, Physics by Dahlia Schwartz (Pandia Press)
- Physics for the Grammar Stage Student Workbook by Paige Hudson (Elemental Science), along with Usborne Science Encyclopedia.
Outside Classwork: completion of lab write-ups or worksheets, under 1 hour
