Young Scholars Kindergarten Enrichment Class
Grade: Kindergarten and 5 years old by September 1st
Thursdays: 9:15-11:15

12 Weeks:  
  • September 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28  October 10/5, 10/12, 10/26  November 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/30 December 12/7
  • (No Class October - 10/19 and November - 11/23) 
Location: Jewish Community Center of Mission Viejo 
Tuition $700

Kindergarten is a dynamic year of activity and one in which critical skills are developed.  This two-hour class is designed to give students a unique kindergarten experience. The focus of the class is to foster socialization, build fine and gross motor skills through penmanship, movement, and creative projects. This class focuses on children’s excitement for learning, increasing their ability to problem solve, and fostering the ability to be a contributing member of a group. The program will be enriched with language arts, math, science, and special day celebrations. ​Students admitted have to reach age five by September 1. There is a maximum of eight students.
 
It will include calendar time, sharing, and a rich variety of activities to engage students in learning.

Outside Classwork: Possibly finishing activities started in class.

  • (No Class March - 3/7, 3/14 and April - 4/4)

​This class is a continuation of the first semester; however, new students are welcome to join.  Meeting  two- hours one day a week gives students a unique kindergarten experience. The class continues to promote socialization, build fine and gross motor skills through penmanship, movement, and creative projects.  This class focuses on the wonder of learning; thus, increasing students' ability to problem solve and foster their ability to be a contributing member of a group. Language arts, math, science, and special day celebrations shape this diverse and engaging classroom experience.Students admitted have to reach age five by September 1. There is a maximum of eight students.
 
Engaging hands-on curriculum includes: calendar time, sharing, and a rich variety of activities to inspire students' learning.
