- Read 20 minutes each day with your student.
Today’s outline:

- Science, math, and art were all about cranberries
- Students estimated a number of cranberries on a cornucopia picture and counted to compare their estimate with counted number.
- Students tasted cranberries in different forms (fresh, dried, canned sauce, homemade sauce). They used a card to identify which ones they liked and we graphed preferences to find out which type of cranberry was the favorite and which ones were least liked. They did AMAZING at trying all of them.
- Students made predictions about what would happen to a cranberry in water and whether or not it would sink or float. We tested our predictions.
- Students used paint to paint wreaths with or without cranberry decorations. Some made new colors with the paint.
- Game for the day - sight word bingo. Students received a bead to add to a pipe cleaner (bracelet) for each bingo. Sight words included I, a, the, is, and, not, go, and my.
