Join us as we explore our nation’s geography from sea to shining sea! By learning about the characteristics of each region, students will gain a much broader understanding of our country's geography and become familiar with each region and the states within it. Class will include some historical information, as well as how some of the states got their shapes. In addition to completing a large map of the United States, fact sheets, students will be challenged to learn the states and capitals.

Outside Classwork: In addition to some map work, students will complete a US Fact sheet as a review of what was learned in class each week. Students will also practice memorizing and identifying the 50 states and capitals.
There will be a US Fact sheet to complete if it isn’t completed in class.  Homework will mainly be reviewing states and capitals.

Instructors: Laurie Weir & Adrienne Collins
