This course is an introduction to report writing.  Beginning with understanding how to locate, select, and make use of relevant information from a variety of sources, students will be guided through each step necessary to write a fully developed country report.  Students will learn about important note-taking and outlining skills and gain valuable experience practicing how to cite unquoted sources.  Although students will be honing their writing skills while learning about a country of their choice, the focus of this class is on the process of how to write a report. Students should be comfortable writing a 6-8 sentence paragraph, and report drafts will be expected to be typed in order to make revising easier.

Outside Classwork: There will be weekly homework in this class.  Students will need to visit the library and conduct research on their country, compose paragraphs, and revise rough drafts in addition to completing any assignments that are not finished in class.

Instructors: Adrienne Collins and Laurie Weir
Note: This classes may be pushed back one week to May 16
